Accommodation

As two colleagues of mine had spent the last semester in Huelva, I gathered some information concerning accommodation, courses and so on. They told me that I shouldn’t worry about an accommodation in advance, since most of the people are searching for a flat when they arrive. Even though, at the beginning I felt a bit uncertain about going somewhere without having a place to stay, everybody recommended me to do it this way. The reason behind is that it is very easy to find a flat in Huelva and by being in the city you can see what you are going to rent. Additionally, there is a good page on Facebook, called “Housing Huelva”, who offers “flat hunting tours” every day at the beginning of the semester. You just have to write them a message saying that you are interested in joining these tours and they will send you all the necessary information. Due to the fact that this service is for free, you don’t have to worry about anything.

When I arrived in Huelva, I met the people of “Housing Huelva” at around 5 pm in front of the University La Merced. With around 12 other students, who were also searching for a flat, we went through Huelva and got to look at around 10 different flats. All of these flats were totally equipped. During this tour I got to know my two future flatmates and I also found my favourite flat. The flat is located between La Merced and the main bus station, so very central. Moreover, the moving in was very easy, we just told the people of Housing Huelva which flat we wanted to take and the next day we went to their office, had to pay a deposit of 150 Euro each, signed a contract and got the keys.

The price for the flat is 180 Euro per person, Internet and water included. The costs for gas and electricity are around 20 Euro per month, so in total I have to pay around 200 Euro monthly.

There has been error in communication with Booktype server. Not sure right now where is the problem.
